Original data studies your clients can publish
We do the research. You run the campaign. Your client gets the credit, the coverage and the citations.
How a study works
You tell us the client and the story
Who the client is, which publications they want coverage in, and any topics to avoid.
We find the data and build the study
Public US data only, every number checked twice, with charts, a methodology and quotable key stats.
Your client publishes it, you pitch it
The study goes out under their name. Journalists and AI answers get a source they can cite.
What you get
Delivered as files your team can brand and publish.
- Three angle options for your client, with the headline each could carry, before any analysis starts.
- The analysis, from public US data, with every headline number recomputed by a second program.
- A written report with the headline finding, key findings and ranked tables.
- Charts in your client's brand colours, plus the data behind them.
- Local cuts by state, metro or county, so you can pitch regional press as well as national.
- Key stats and answers written the way journalists quote and people ask AI assistants.
- A methodology note that stands up when a journalist checks it.
Pricing
Founding-client pilot: $2,500
For our first three agency clients: one full study at a reduced rate, so you can see how we work before committing. Paid upfront.
Standard studies: quoted per project
The price depends on the data, the number of geographies and the extras you need, such as an interactive map. Tell us the brief and we'll quote within one working day.
Exclusivity
Your client gets exclusive use of the findings and the campaign framing for 12 months. We keep the method and may use the same public data for other work, but never the same story.
Questions agencies ask
Can our client publish the study under their own name?
Yes. The study is published by your client. Censal stays in the background unless you want us credited as the research partner.
What data do you use?
Public US government data only: the Census Bureau, the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the Federal Reserve, the CFPB and similar sources. We never use a client's private or customer data, so there is nothing confidential to manage.
Do you guarantee links or coverage?
No. Coverage is up to journalists, so no one can promise it. What we promise is a study built to be covered: a clear finding, local angles, sound methods and quotable numbers.
What if the data doesn't support the story we wanted?
We tell you before we write anything, and suggest the strongest angle the data does support. We don't bend findings to fit a pitch.
How long does a study take?
Usually three to four weeks from an agreed brief to final files.
How does payment work?
Pilot studies are paid upfront. Standard studies are 50% on signing and 50% on delivery of the final files. Invoices are in US dollars.
